1991 - First public descriptions of HTML from Tim Berners-Lee
--Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989 in Geneva, Switzerland. He wrote the first WWW client and server and most of the software defining URLs, HTTP and HTML. http://www.w3.org/People/all

1992 - World Wide Web released to the public

1993 - First version of NCSA Mosaic released
--Mosaic was the First Global Web Browser used on the World Wide Web. In 1992, Joseph Hardin and Dave Thompson worked at the NCSA (national Center for Supercomputer Applications) this was a research institution at the University of Illinois. http://www.livinginternet.com/w/wi_mosaic.htm

1995 - First version of Internet Explorer
--In November 1995, Internet Explorer 2.0 came out to the public it supported both Macintosh and 32-bit Windows users. 1996 - First mobile phone to get internet/email

1997 - First cameraphone introduced

1998 - Google is created at Stanford University
